Yes, intimate apparel. How we live has as much to do with how we feel as it does how we carry ourselves. I find myself to have some source of info in this since my bust is rather large and I'm a big bodied chick in general. I wanted to compile places or brands that accomadate me and may be of use to you.

When it comes to underoos for your womanly time, I prefer Lane Bryant's cacique full brief. They are very comfortable, soft, and allow everything bit of me to be covered. I wear a size down from my pants size (they are labelled like 12/14 etc). For those sexy times (lol) lane bryant online usually has some nice ones, as well as torrid and kmart (yes kmart- joe boxer specifically).

Just my size and Yours Clothing has a small selction of bras for the bustier chicks. I choose not to disclose my cup size but I will say I can't buy them in (brick and mortor) stores. Some brands that hold up well in my experience (and have a bit of flair to them) include: Elomi and Goddess.

Now if we are talking shapewear, I only have a small amount. Avenue goes up to 30/32 (online- Im unsure of in stores) so that helps. Their shapewear panty I would buy as whatever pants size you are and it holds up well. I do also have the shorts and cami. They suck you in but at the same time have a tendency to roll up. Not to mention the cami squishes my boobs but that's probably because they're too big haha. Anyway I prefer shapwear seperates over a bodysuit because I don't like to fiddle when I need to use the rest room so its a give-take!

I hope this little blurb was of some help. Peace.
Just because your "girls" are at attention doesn't mean that's your bra size. If they are peeking out under the bra, guess what? it's too small! And no I dont think it's cute for big chicks to walk around wearing tunics as dresses. Or being able to see your crotch in leggings. But hey do what you want 'cause you are fierce. *side eye* and no i wont buy new clothes <strike>to wear once then later sell</strike> just to impress you. big girl gear isn't cheap and my bank isnt bottom-less.

rant over.

i want to change up my style and finding the right pieces is frustrating. while on my health journey i no longer wish to subconsciously just look like whatever in the meantime. not to mention i haven't worn a dress all winter because i can't seem to find tights/stockings that can fit me. ive traded out a few jeans. i now like straight leg rather than bootcut on me. still searching for my signature wig (yeah i know that's not clothes but it goes with the ensemble). and i find that flats with a low wedge are most comfortable. aside from those minor details...yeah i dont know. still waiting on my cuz to get me my blank canvas so i can work on my fashion collage. once i get that together (however long it takes) perhaps the pieces will magically come into my life. hahaha.RoSihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08414144384641584805noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524716573089766703.post-18415751445696923312011-02-21T19:09:00.000-05:002015-07-08T21:46:54.592-04:00A tangled state of affairsI have alot to talk about but for right now I think I'll discuss hair. Nothing has been too different from my routine but I have sampled a few products. First was the pantene medium thick frizzy to smooth. That did everything it said it would. I mean except actually cleanse my hair LOL. My hair was pretty but my scalp didn't like it.

The other product which I used today is Head & Shoulder's Itchy Scalp Care- shampoo & conditioner. My hair's not fully dry yet so I can't quite say if it helped. I do like how creamy the shampoo was though.

I dont know if it was the after effects of using that patene (I have cowashed since then and before today) or lack of moisture, but my hair was just uncooperative. I think I need to get more patient with my hair. Sometimes it's more thick in the roots in teh shower and I feel like I'm ripping it out my head. Not on purpose but in an effort to get the heck out of the shower sooner! Fingers are only good for detangling if you are going to take the time to do so. Otherwise they are going to be as harmful as any other tool.

My personal challenge this week is to wear my hair untwisted and naturally out. With that is keeping an eye out for moisture needs, tangles and needed oils.

Day 1: Washed; Used castor oil on hair while damp; use jojoba on scalp once dryRoSihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08414144384641584805noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524716573089766703.post-71967733864304246392010-06-12T09:39:00.000-04:002015-07-08T22:00:42.981-04:00Me and my itchy skinSo don't know what happened but for the past week my skin has been giving me a headache lol. It has been red, itchy and dry. While I do have problems with eczema I dont believe I've ever had my skin react that way before. As you can see from a previous review, the cocoa butter conditioner just wasn't for me. It provided an unpleasant scalp. I am wondering if it could be the culprit for the rest of me but if so, it shouldve been washed off many showers/baths ago! lol I am still considering a major change to my diet once i figure out what exactly to detract. I do know that my body doesn't like too much dairy. Other than that I have further research to do. The things that have been helping though:

peppermint oil with vitamin e oil baths.
using aveeno advanced body wash in the shower.

i have purchased some nubian hertiage products which are made of natural ingredients. the particular ones are said to have healing properities. i hope they help!

i have the and

it has been used once so far and what i will say is they both smell super yummy. and it took longer for me to start scratching again.

a thick lotion helps- like the one above or pure shea butter. also putting an oil like the vitamin e oil right out the shower then the lotion.

i'll report any new skin changes or a soothing alleviation if such arises.RoSihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08414144384641584805noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524716573089766703.post-43093922526990521562010-06-07T00:38:00.000-04:002015-07-08T22:00:42.976-04:00Organix Cocoa Butter Conditioner Review<img alt="Organix Conditioner Cocoa Butter 13 oz. Since I have eczema and the weather is climbing in degrees I just figured it goes with the territory. From head to toe I have just been a scratching like a feen mess! I decided to wash my hair today since it was also giving me terror.

I started with Hair One Tea tree oil cleanser and it was feeling so nice. Then did an oil rinse with avocado oil. Then I went on to use the cocoa butter conditioner last. This was my second time using this particular Organix brand. I very much liked the Shea Butter one so figured I'd give this one a try.

Well well well...my hair is NOT happy with the cocoa butter conditioner. After scrunching my hair with it in the shower and getting ready to partially rinse. the itching ensued again. Aha! the culprit is caught!!! I am not sure what is in this one that isn't in the shea butter one but I would say sensitive scalps be warned.

It has only been moderately relieved with my Doo Gro Anti-Itch Growth Oil and some scratching (yeah not advised lol).

The unfortunate part is sans this revelation, it is a pretty good conditioner. I like how it makes my hair feel and look. And the smell is very chocolaty. RoSihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08414144384641584805noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3524716573089766703.post-37037621709101361662010-01-20T21:33:00.000-05:002015-07-08T22:04:18.808-04:00ELF High Definition Powder Review

Ok so this high definition powder is meant to create a soft focus. However I think that on skin of color it'll just make you look ashy if applied over foundation. I found it to be drying over my liquid makeup. And enhanced the fine lines. It can possibly be used by itself if you have fair skin but I found that on bare skin I look ghost like. And i did not use alot!

But when I used this powder UNDER my foundation, it was much better! I was able to see it make my foundation go on smoother. And my skin was able to stay moisturized since my liquid foundation was applied next. I found that I did not get too shiny later in the day having used it (I sweat on my forehead and upper lip lol).

So all in all with primer it might stay all day. I would not recommend this product for everyday wear as they state. It has a very nice look in photos as shown above. And works best under foundation if a person of color and may work in more varied ways if fair skinned. Like it (after reworking it) but not in love.

So I saw a blogger talking about oil rinse. I stopped what I was reading to research exactly what this was and see its benefits etc. Since I was planning on washing my hair this weekend anyway I decided to try it out- a test run of sorts. Basically if my memory serves me correctly, the procedure goes like this:

Use shampoo (I used almond castille soap) wash with warm water

Add favorite oil (I used one by DooGro) to hair especially on the ends, the focus is not the scalp . Rinse again with warm water

Use conditioner- a dollop or two- (I used Hair One's Tea Tree)

Rinse with cool water to close in moisture and wash out some of the oil

I was having problems with my hair feeling really dry for a few days prior and my ends were feeling frizzy. Well let me tell you after I was done with this oil rinse, my hair was feeling good! And the problems with my ends were non existent. It was very moisturized, and i think it would feel great for a wash n' go too! (It's too cold for that of course)

When my cousin went to comb out my hair, some time after, had no problem. She put my hair in twists using the fantasia ic olive oil styling gel dry hair formula. I sealed the ends with a tea tree blend (had tree tree, castor oil things like that) by mega care--just rubbed a little bit of oil in my figures and rubbed the ends. and i oiled my actual scalp with...oops can't remember LOL.

My twists seem a little longer than the last time and I like that they curl in some places on their own :) Let's see if I can make it to a good 7 days with them (on day 2 now, last time lasted a good 5 but left it till day 6).

So over all I think the oil rinse would be something great either on a monthly basis or biweekly. I feel it is beneficial if your hair is feeling a little dry or unloved. Almost an additional treatment of sorts. Woot!

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">It's the rain before the storm and I sit wondering why did I press my hair without looking at the weather! I didn't do it bone straight because when I decided to press it it was just for the sake of pressing it. And hey if I stay inside it may last a few days LOL. But seriously my hair is way too thick to be bothered with doing this that often. But it's a nice change.

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Well let's see...I've been natural (without relaxer) since Summer of '07; after college around '05 if i remember correctly was probably a few at home perms then just decided to stop them all together. And I had a big chop April of '08 (well actually I just wanted a low cut, I'm an everchanging hair fanatic, and later found out that's what naturals consider it- but it wasn't that big of a deal to me). I've had many braid styles, even a weave once very briefly, and about 3 attempts at locs- I actually kept them in on the 3rd try for 6 months. Thereafter realizing I wasn't about to deal with twisting or any other maintenance form, if my hair continued to grow as much as it does.

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So now I am here...experimenting, relearning, reloving, and dealing with the loose, natural, coily, hair that is me. In this continual discovery - which includes finding the right products- I have come across Hair One. Hair One is pretty much a cleansing conditioner. I have the one for dry scalp (i think i'll be getting them all!) and it has tea tree oil. It just feels so natural, herbal smelling and instantly softening. I really don't think I'll be using anything else. However I do still have a bottle of VO5 clarifying tea conditioner and dove intensive therapy that I may throw in every so often. Can't waste things!

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I do have oils, and other things but I'll save that for another time.
