Intimate Apparel for the bigger busts and wider butts

It only makes sense that if I'm going to talk about lifestyle, that which is under the clothes come into play.  Yes, intimate apparel.  How we live has as much to do with how we feel as it does how we carry ourselves.  I find myself to have some source of info in this since my bust is rather large and I'm a big bodied chick in general.  I wanted to compile places or brands that accomadate me and may be of use to you.

When it comes to underoos for your womanly time, I prefer Lane Bryant's cacique full brief.  They are very comfortable, soft, and allow everything bit of me to be covered.  I wear a size down from my pants size (they are labelled like 12/14 etc).  For those sexy times (lol) lane bryant online usually has some nice ones, as well as torrid and kmart (yes kmart- joe boxer specifically).

Just my size and Yours Clothing has a small selction of bras for the bustier chicks.  I choose not to disclose my cup size but I will say I can't buy them in (brick and mortor) stores.  Some brands that hold up well in my experience (and have a bit of flair to them) include:  Elomi and Goddess.

Now if we are talking shapewear, I only have a small amount.  Avenue goes up to 30/32 (online- Im unsure of in stores) so that helps.  Their shapewear panty I would buy as whatever pants size you are and it holds up well.  I do also have the shorts and cami.  They suck you in but at the same time have a tendency to roll up.  Not to mention the cami squishes my boobs but that's probably because they're too big haha. Anyway I prefer shapwear seperates over a bodysuit because I don't like to fiddle when I need to use the rest room so its a give-take!

I hope this little blurb was of some help.  Peace.

big girl woes

so im feeling like there are no cute affordable inspiring clothes left in my size. and no i dont want to "make it work". honestly some of these big chicks walking around with clothes that don't fit them. yes i said it... that does not fit you.  Just because your "girls" are at attention doesn't mean that's your bra size.  If they are peeking out under the bra, guess what? it's too small! And no I dont think it's cute for big chicks to walk around wearing tunics as dresses. Or being able to see your crotch in leggings. But hey do what you want 'cause you are fierce. *side eye* and no i wont buy new clothes to wear once then later sell just to impress you. big girl gear isn't cheap and my bank isnt bottom-less.

rant over.

i want to change up my style and finding the right pieces is frustrating.  while on my health journey i no longer wish to subconsciously just look like whatever in the meantime.  not to mention i haven't worn a dress all winter because i can't seem to find tights/stockings that can fit me.  ive traded out a few jeans. i now like straight leg rather than bootcut on me.  still searching for my signature wig (yeah i know that's not clothes but it goes with the ensemble).  and i find that flats with a low wedge are most comfortable.  aside from those minor details...yeah i dont know.  still waiting on my cuz to get me my blank canvas so i can work on my fashion collage.  once i get that together (however long it takes) perhaps the pieces will magically come into my life. hahaha.

A tangled state of affairs

I have alot to talk about but for right now I think I'll discuss hair. Nothing has been too different from my routine but I have sampled a few products. First was the pantene medium thickPantene Pro-V Medium-thick Hair Solutions Frizzy To Smooth Shampoo, 33.80-Ounce frizzy to smooth. That did everything it said it would. I mean except actually cleanse my hair LOL.  My hair was pretty but my scalp didn't like it.

The other product which I used today is Head & Shoulder's Itchy Scalp Care- shampoo & conditioner.  Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care with Eucalyptus Shampoo, 14.20-Ounce (Pack of 2)Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care with Eucalyptus Conditioner, 13.50-Ounce (Pack of 2) My hair's not fully dry yet so I can't quite say if it helped. I do like how creamy the shampoo was though.

I dont know if it was the after effects of using that patene (I have cowashed since then and before today) or lack of moisture, but my hair was just uncooperative.  I think I need to get more patient with my hair. Sometimes it's more thick in the roots in teh shower and I feel like I'm ripping it out my head.  Not on purpose but in an effort to get the heck out of the shower sooner! Fingers are only good for detangling if you are going to take the time to do so. Otherwise they are going to be as harmful as any other tool.

My personal challenge this week is to wear my hair untwisted and naturally out.  With that is keeping an eye out for moisture needs, tangles and needed oils.

Day 1: Washed; Used castor oil on hair while damp; use jojoba on scalp once dry

Me and my itchy skin

So don't know what happened but for the past week my skin has been giving me a headache lol.  It has been red, itchy and dry.  While I do have problems with eczema I dont believe I've ever had my skin react that way before.  As you can see from a previous review, the cocoa butter conditioner just wasn't for me.  It provided an unpleasant scalp.  I am wondering if it could be the culprit for the rest of me but if so, it shouldve been washed off many showers/baths ago! lol I am still considering a major change to my diet once i figure out what exactly to detract. I do know that my body doesn't like too much dairy. Other than that I have further research to do.  The things that have been helping though:

peppermint oil with vitamin e oil baths.
using aveeno advanced body wash in the shower.

i have purchased some nubian hertiage products which are made of natural ingredients.  the particular ones are said to have healing properities. i hope they help!

i have the Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver Soap and Nubian Heritage Honey & Black Seed Lotion 13 Fl Oz

it has been used once so far and what i will say is they both smell super yummy.  and it took longer for me to start scratching again.

a thick lotion helps- like the one above or pure shea butter.  also putting an oil like the vitamin e oil right out the shower then the lotion.

i'll report any new skin changes or a soothing alleviation if such arises.

Organix Cocoa Butter Conditioner Review

Organix Conditioner Cocoa Butter 13 oz. (Instant Repair) Okay currently I am having serious dry itchy skin issues. Since I have eczema and the weather is climbing in degrees I just figured it goes with the territory.  From head to toe I have just been a scratching like a feen mess! I decided to wash my hair today since it was also giving me terror.

I started with Hair One Tea tree oil cleanser and it was feeling so nice.  Then did an oil rinse with avocado oil.  Then I went on to  use the cocoa butter conditioner last.  This was my second time using this particular Organix brand.  I very much liked the Shea Butter one so figured I'd give this one a try.

Well well well...my hair is NOT happy with the cocoa butter conditioner.  After scrunching my hair with it in the shower and getting ready to partially rinse. the itching ensued again. Aha! the culprit is caught!!! I am not sure what is in this one that isn't in the shea butter one but I would say sensitive scalps be warned.

It has only been moderately relieved with my Doo Gro Anti-Itch Growth Oil and some scratching (yeah not advised lol).

The unfortunate part is sans this revelation, it is a pretty good conditioner.  I like how it makes my hair feel and look.  And the smell is very chocolaty.

ELF High Definition Powder Review

Ok so this high definition powder is meant to create a soft focus. However I think that on skin of color it'll just make you look ashy if applied over foundation.  I found it to be drying over my liquid makeup. And enhanced the fine lines. It can possibly be used by itself if you have fair skin but I found that on bare skin I look ghost like. And i did not use alot!

But when I used this powder UNDER my foundation, it was much better! I was able to see it make my foundation go on smoother. And my skin was able to stay moisturized since my liquid foundation was applied next. I found that I did not get too shiny later in the day having used it (I sweat on my forehead and upper lip lol).

So all in all with primer it might stay all day. I would not recommend this product for everyday wear as they state. It has a very nice look in photos as shown above. And works best under foundation if a person of color and may work in more varied ways if fair skinned. Like it (after reworking it) but not in love.
